Hatsumoude
"Hatsumoude" means "The 1st going to Shrine on January 1" The family spend new year holidays in Matsue City , where Toru was brought up and his parents live, every year. On '97 January 1, they did "Hatsumoude" to the nearest old shrine from the house of Toru's parents. They offered money named "Saisen" to God of the shrine and pray their health and success of this year.
Jazz (Toru)
Toru loves not only classic musics but also jazz musics. He goes to jazz spots twice or three times a year with his friends. On January 8, he enjoyed the play of Tom Pierson Trio at a live house named "Sometime" in Kichijoji town, Musashino city. They enjoyed jazz, I.W.Harper and talking with Tom and his friends.
