Walk in Kamakura with an old friend(Toru)

Kencho-ji Daibutsu

Toru's friend in junior high school, who is making "Kannabi"(See the chapter of Sake in the page of Liquors), visited his house on November 16 and 17. Toru and he drunk much beer, wine, and Kannabi in the night of 16 seeing the soccer game on TV which Japan national team got a passport to World Cup in France. With a little headache, not because of Kannabi but cheap wine, they had a walk in Kamakura on 17. This photos were taken in Kencho-ji temple and Daibutsu(Big Buddha), they also visited Engaku-ji temple, Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu shrine.


Short trip to Yokohama bay area

Yokohama Bay Bridge Landmark Tower

The family had a short trip to Yokohama bay area on November 23, the day before Junko's birthday. These photos were taken at a stop of sight seeing boat. There can be seen Yokohama Bay-Bridge in photo1 and Landmark Tower, which is the tallest building in Japan, in photo2. They went up to the highest floor of the tower and enjoyed a wide landscape. They also climbed up Marine Tower in Yamashita-Koen park and took chinese dinner in China Town near the park.

The Amazing Man

At a square in Landmark Tower, they saw an American entertainer who introduced himself as the amazing man. His 30 minutes' performance was great pleasure for Junko and others. This photo shows he drove a tall mono-cycle handling 3 sword and one apple with eating it at the moment he caught it! It was amazing truly. At the last they gave him one thousand yen for the pleasure, but one of the audience gave him ten thousand yen.


Road Race(Takeshi)

Road Race

The junior high school had an annual event "Road Race" in which all pupils run 3 km around the school on December 6. Takeshi ran in slow pace with his friends.


Japanese traditional dance(Toru)

Nihon-buyou1 Nihon-buyou2

Toru enjoyed a Japanese traditional dance "Nihon-buyou" on December 7. Nihon-buyou is a dance wearing Kimono and performed with a traditional song like "Tokiwazu", "Nagauta" and "Kouta" followed by Shamisen(Japanese banjo).
