1998 is quite a special year for the family because it is the year they moved into California. It was caused by that Toru has changed his carreer from research to research planning. He was assigned as a research planning manager of a child research company located in Silicon Valley for 3 years. According to that, Junko left the English conversation school where she worked 7 years. Takeshi graduated junior high school and passed the entrance test of his favorite high school, but he must have changed his high school to a American domestic high school. Haruka graduated elementary school and entered a junior high school, but he also must have changed to a American junior high school.
In July, after Toru found the new house in his business trip to Silicon Valley, the family moved into California. Around the house, there is a splendid environment with much green. The family visited San Francisco, Los Angeles, Yosemite and Lakeb Tahoe this year. They enjoyed the American Nature and American Entertainments. On the otherhand, they struggled with English. Especially, as Takeshi and Haruka were not good at English, parents must have participated in their homework, fought beyond midnight everynight. But in October, Haruka danced with a blonde girl at the first dance party. In Halloween, Takeshi and Haruka costumed and visited houses with their friends. They became to enjoy their life little by little.
