On the morning of the 1st day of 1999, we went to Twin Peaks in San Francisco to see and pray to "The first sunrise of the year". In March, we went to Florida. Enjoyed Key West, Orlando, where Disney World and Universal Studio are located, and Kennedy Space Center. Haruka and Takeshi enjoyed the American attractions. In August, we drove around Zion national park, Bryce Canyon national park, Monument Valley and Grand Canyon national park. We enjoyed the great nature of America very much.

Junko started to learn Flamenco dance. Haruka took a Drama class and performed in the play "Cinderella" at the end of last semester. Haruka played the role of page and spoke of course in English. Takeshi got his driver's license finally. Takeshi has started to go to school by car. He drives to high school. At that time, Toru goes to work by bicycle, picks up the car and goes to his office by car. Takeshi comes back home by bicycle..... This is, Takeshi can practice driving and his father can exercise his legs.

Still we are struggling with English, but enjoyed the life in California much.
