Both Takeshi and Haruka became to love Basket Ball. In February, Takeshi participated in YMCA’s Basket Ball School. Haruka also took part in the Basket Ball Camp of Stanford Univ. in July.
Web enjoyed the life in California much.
In March, the Middle School Haruka was going to hold a Washington tour and he went on it. In spite of being the only Japanese on the trip and having a cold he enjoyed being with them and getting help from them. He graduated Middle School in June and, in September, he entered the same High School Takeshi is going to.
In June, the family temporarily returned to Japan after two years’stay in USA. As they had missed Onsen(Hot Springs) very much, they enjoyed a big open air Onsen at a famous Ryokan(Japanese Traditional Hotel) located near Toru’s home town.
In August, they visited New York and Niagara Falls. Takeshi and Haruka had been eager to go to New York for a while. They had the experience of a two-hour-long wait when entering the Statue of Liberty and when entering the Empire State Bldg. At Niagara Falls, Haruka and Takeshi enjoyed the “Cave of Wind” tour in which they went through a shower from the falls.
In October, they enjoyed the first camping tour in USA at Petaluma. In the same month, Takeshi attended the Home Coming party at his school escorting a pretty Norwegian girl.
